ABOUT US

Africa is at the heart of tomorrow’s healthcare solutions. The continent faces unique health challenges, but it also offers one of the most important opportunities for medical progress worldwide. Reliable, large-scale health data is still limited in many regions, making it difficult to understand diseases fully or create effective, long-term solutions.

Kenya, in particular, stands out as a gateway for this mission. With its rapidly developing healthcare infrastructure, vibrant research community, and diverse population, Kenya offers both the challenges and the potential needed to drive innovation. By collecting and analyzing medical data here, we not only help local communities gain access to better health solutions, but also generate insights that can shape the future of medicine far beyond its borders. This is where we step in.

Hekima Health Ltd. is about more than data - it is about giving people a voice in their own health journey. Every piece of information we gather helps build a stronger foundation for new treatments, more effective prevention strategies, and healthier lives. By combining advanced technology with local partnerships, we create a bridge between Africa’s health realities and global medical innovation.

This is the essence of our work: turning data into hope, and hope into action.
OUR MISSION
Health Data Infrastructure & Analytics

Our long-term mission is to build a robust, scalable infrastructure for Real-World Data (RWD) collection and Real-World Evidence (RWE) generation across East Africa.

We are developing an integrated platform that:
  • Connects clinics and hospitals equipped with electronic medical records (EMRs) to a unified data ecosystem.
  • Integrates data from lower-digital environments — including health camps, mobile clinics, and paper-based records — through structured digitization workflows.
  • Ensures all data processing is compliant with Kenya’s Data Protection Act and global ethical research standards.
The ultimate goal is to establish a sustainable health data network that serves both public and private sector needs, enabling:

  • Evidence-based decision-making in healthcare policy and resource allocation.
  • Support for clinical research, market access, and innovation pilots.
  • Equitable data access models balancing commercial utility with social impact.
  • By combining medical engagement, community service, and data innovation, Hekima Healthdata Ltd. is building the foundations of a connected, insight-driven healthcare future in Africa.
OUR PRIORITIES

Accuracy and Reliability of Data

We believe that strong healthcare begins with strong data. That is why our first priority is accuracy. Every dataset we collect is verified, carefully managed, and analyzed with modern tools to ensure reliability. In Kenya, where healthcare decisions often depend on limited resources, precise information can make all the difference. By delivering reliable data, we give healthcare providers, researchers, and policymakers the knowledge they need to make better choices, plan resources more effectively, and design solutions that directly respond to the real needs of communities.

Ethical Responsibility and Trust

Trust is the foundation of our work. Collecting medical data requires more than technology - it requires respect for people and their privacy. We treat every piece of information with confidentiality and dignity, ensuring that it is used only for the benefit of individuals and communities. Our approach follows international ethical standards while also listening to the voices of local partners in Kenya. By placing human values at the core, we build not just databases, but long-term trust. For us, data is never about numbers alone - it is about people’s lives, hopes, and futures.

Empowering Communities Through Knowledge

Our goal is not only to collect data but also to give something back to communities. By sharing insights with healthcare providers and local organizations, we help them make better decisions for the people they serve. Knowledge is power, and in healthcare, it is the power to save lives. In Kenya, our work supports stronger public health systems, better disease prevention, and more effective treatment. We see data as a tool to empower communities, allowing them to shape healthier futures for themselves and for generations to come.

Beyond RWD & RWE

Medical Conferences & Networking

We design and host specialized medical conferences and professional forums in Mombasa and other key regional centers.

These events serve as dynamic platforms where healthcare providers, medical researchers, pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers, and medtech innovators can exchange knowledge and forge meaningful collaborations.

Our conferences focus primarily on diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and hypertension — conditions that represent a growing public health challenge across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Through keynote sessions, interactive workshops, and B2B networking programs, we enable participants to:

  • Present and discuss the latest advances in clinical practice and therapeutic innovation.
  • Establish partnerships for clinical trials, educational programs, and product introduction.
  • Build sustainable bridges between healthcare systems, private sector leaders, and technology developers.

Each conference is curated not only as an event but as a strategic collaboration hub, encouraging actionable outcomes and long-term professional networks.

Beyond RWD & RWE

Community Health Camps

In parallel with professional engagement, we implement free community health screening camps in rural and underserved regions of Kenya.

These camps offer early detection and health education opportunities in the same key therapeutic areas — diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and hypertension — with direct benefits to both patients and the healthcare system.

Our health camps are organized in cooperation with local clinics, county health departments, and NGOs, focusing on:

  • Early screening and diagnosis for at-risk populations.
  • Patient cohort identification and follow-up, creating continuity of care between outreach and clinic-based management.
  • Data collection under ethical consent frameworks to support the creation of real-world health datasets.

By bridging preventive healthcare and data-driven insight, these initiatives empower communities while generating a foundation of local, high-quality clinical data for future research and policy planning.
